Bee and PuppyCat

The fantastic Kate Beaton posted this video and says, “let me just be the bazillionth person to post this amazing cartoon that everyone loves.” And here I am, the bazillionth and one person to share this video, Bee and PuppyCat. Here’s the official CartoonHangover description:

Bee, a reluctant hero, becomes entangled in the adventures of a puppy (…or is he a cat?) as they travel between reality and the void of Fishbowl Space. Created by Natasha Allegri, character designer and storyboard artist for Adventure Time. We can neither confirm nor deny the autobiographical nature of Bee & PuppyCat.

I am totally in love with Bee and PuppyCat! Full of so much crazy goodness.

Look here in the nest and see what shiny baubles and what-nots caught my magpie-eye last week!

Video Friday

A few weeks ago, I shared the trailer for Burka Avenger on Magpie Monday—now you can watch the premiere episode of the first Pakistani animated show starring female superhero. Here’s some more information from YouTube:

The first episode of the Burka Avenger, Season 01. In this episode Vadero Pajero and Baba Bandook conspire to shut down the girls school. Burka Avenger comes to the rescue and saves the day. The series was made using a combination of 3d animation and 2d art. The characters are 3d but all the backgrounds are painstakingly painted in 2d by our talented artists.

I love this.

Magpie Monday

Welcome to the week, people!

Here are the shiny bits that caught my eye last week—please to enjoy!

THE NINTH ART.

Super Team Family‘s mash-up of the Vixen and Black Panther last week was great to see. I have long been a big fan of Black Panther, though I only know Vixen from the animated Justice League shows.
