I’ve some happy news to report on the publishing front: my story “The Empty World beneath Her Hand” has been published in the 18th issue of Stonecoast Review. Having this story appear in Stonecoast Review brings it full circle: the opening scene in the story was inspired by a bit of daydreaming out the window of The Stone House during a class in the Winter 2009 residency at Stonecoast MFA, then I workshopped the story initially titled “A Winter Story” based on that inspiration in the Winter 2010 residency, then it was the thesis story–with its current title–I read for my senior reading before graduation (alas, in Summer rather than Winter), and now it’s been published in Winter. I’m delighted!
If you’d like to read “The Empty World beneath Her Hand”—and help support independent and inclusive publishing—you can purchase a copy of Stonecoast Review at Kelly’s Books To Go.
Very good news! Congratulations.
Thank you!
